Filling GSGold's Hole
As we all know, GSGold left the internet forever. Looks like we've a hole to fill in on staff!
So, two things are up with this update.
First: If you are interested in becoming the new mailbag staffer (and are not already on staff), send me a PM or something saying why you think you're fit for the job. The only requirement is that you've proven yourself to be trustworthy in my eyes (remember that a staff position also comes with global moderator priveleges on the forum) and that you've been around here for a while (i.e., people know who you are). Naturally, I'm looking for someone who can update frequently enough! So don't apply if you know you won't be around to do it.
Second: mailbag has been updated with a new topic relevant to this tragic event. The old one has been dropped entirely, it had no good replies anyway.
Wait, there was this one gem from somebody who put [] in the name field:
I hate all these cocksuckers we have who think that just because they've been around for a while means their shit doesn't stink, and do nothing but spew elitist, hypocritical bullshit to try and make them feel better about the sorry excuses for lives they lead when they aren't shackled to the computer. You know who you are, faggots.

Update: I will choose the new staffer when the next mailbag update is going up. This will be when I see plenty of replies to this mailbag or a week from today, whichever comes first.

Woah, we still have all those?
"Good ol" Kremmo here, bringing you part 2 in the "getting this stuff caught up" series of updates. The Comics section is finally up-to-date, including a number of old gems that I guess were uploaded to the site but Soap/Rick forgot to actually post - such hits as "POS on Paper", "Wally In:", and of course "Rob -N- Sam". There's also a couple more recent titles, like "Jarcraft" or the short-lived "Kroscko!". If you've missed out on reading any of these, now's a wonderful time to go check them out.
I even added some of those little thumbnail images everybody loves so much~~

heeeyyyyyyy pick of the week!
Hey guys! It's been a whole week since we set sail and boldy uploaded "X", so it's now time to present another Pick of the Week update. We've got a bit of a wider selection this week, featuring individual picks from Ben, myself, Wally, and kaela, as well as a couple bonus features in the form of the aptly named "Spat's Shitty Pick of the Week" and, um, a short album that kaela "bought for 50c at an oppotunity shop". All in all it's some pretty neat stuff, so don't hesitate to go download!

Pick of the Week
It's an actual update this time, I swear!
Quote of the Update
This refers to the Crate, Barrel, Capsule, and Party Ball items collectively. These items, on the surface, seem to be balanced. There is a large risk to using the Crate, Barrel, and Party Ball items because of the drastic movement reduction received while holding them, the only reward being another item (possibly a heavier hit on the opponent), each item has a basic counter (the large containers have abysmal range, while the capsule is easily air/spot dodged), and they usually only effect the match by releasing another item... but this isn't always the case. A rigged container will always do massive damage and knockback, and there is no way of telling which containers are rigged and which aren't. While this seems like it should be included with 'Risk/Reward', containers, by their very nature, have a higher probability than other items to spawn, and because of their bulk there is a decent chance that they can (and will) spawn in the range of an attack in progress; if this happens, a player may take damage through no fault of his/her own, damage that can and, in many cases, will kill in one shot. This happens frequently enough that these items break the third criterion by a large margin, and thus must be disabled.
